3D Printing Filament PETG Printing TIPS!!!

1. Proper Temperature Control - PETG is prone to stringing and oozing. When printing PETG, we recommend printing at 230-260°C.
2. Proper Fan Control - Quickly cooling the melted filament by increasing the fan speed will ensure a clean, crisp print. When printing PETG, we recommend increasing the fan speed as needed.
3. Retraction - Increasing the retraction speed and distance will reduce the amount of material that oozes out of the nozzle between prints.
4. Slower Print Speeds - If you are having issues with interlayer adhesion or print quality, try running the print slower. If you run too fast, there may be adhesion issues between layers, which in more extreme cases can result in spots, zits, stringing, and holes in your prints.
5. Keep The Filament Dry - PETG tends to absorb moisture from the air as it sits (hygroscopic) and hydrolyzes when wet, resulting in weaker interlayer bonding at the molecular level. Wet filaments can be salvaged by dehydrating them in an oven at 60°C for at least 6 hours or by storing the filaments in a container with plenty of desiccant for at least 24 hours.
