Printing Tips
PC/ABS material in the printing process needs to have a higher ambient temperature to help release the residual stress in the molding process of the parts, in the printing process, please keep the printer closed to avoid warping and cracking of the printed parts. Please keep the printer closed during the printing process to avoid warping and cracking of the printed parts. If the device has a heating chamber function, it is recommended to set the heating chamber temperature at 60-80°C. If the device is equipped with a heating chamber, it is recommended that the temperature of the heating chamber be set between 60-80°C.

- What is PC/ABS-FR Filament? - PC/ABS-FR filaments are materials used in 3D printing that provide a mix of properties from two plastics: PC (Polycarbonate) and ABS (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene). This combination creates a strong, durable filament that is also flame-resistant, making it suitable for prints that need to withstand higher temperatures or conditions where fire safety is a concern.
- Why should I choose PC/ABS-FR for 3D printing? - Choosing PC/ABS-FR filament is a smart choice for projects that require sturdy parts. This filament is not only tough and durable but also flame-resistant, which means it is safer to use in environments that might catch fire. It's great for making prototypes, tools, and any items that need to last.
- What are the recommended printing temperatures for PC/ABS-FR? - When printing with PC/ABS-FR filament, the nozzle temperature should be set between 260°C to 280°C, while the bed (where you place your print) should be heated to about 70°C to 80°C. This helps the filament stick well and avoids issues like warping.
- Do I need special equipment to use PC/ABS-FR? - Yes, it's best to use an enclosed 3D printer with active chamber heating when working with PC/ABS-FR filament. This means your printer should be able to maintain a warm environment, which helps to reduce warping and improve the print's quality.
- Is PC/ABS-FR filament safe to use? - Absolutely! PC/ABS-FR filament is designed to be safe. It has low emissions of smoke and toxic gases compared to materials with halogen flame retardants, making it a safer option for your projects.
- What can I make with PC/ABS-FR filament? - PC/ABS-FR filament is great for creating a wide range of items, like parts for machines, functional prototypes, and any objects where strength and fire resistance are important. Just let your imagination guide you!
- How should I store PC/ABS-FR filament? - It's essential to keep PC/ABS-FR filament in a dry place. Ideally, store it in a sealed container with desiccants to prevent moisture from damaging the filament, which can affect how well it prints.
- Can I use PC/ABS-FR filament with any 3D printer? - While PC/ABS-FR filament is compatible with many FDM 3D printers, it's important to ensure that your printer can handle high temperatures and has an enclosed area for optimal performance. Always check your printer's specifications first!
- What defines the quality of PC/ABS-FR filament? - The quality of PC/ABS-FR filament is influenced by its diameter consistency, how well it holds its shape during printing, and how well it can withstand heat and stress after printed. Look for options that specify high-quality manufacturing for the best results.
- Where can I buy PC/ABS-FR filament? - You can purchase PC/ABS-FR filament from 3D printing supply stores and directly from brands specializing in high-quality filaments, such as us. Our store features various options to fit your printing needs.
