Printing Tips
1. Reduce print speed: PLA Metal is more viscous than regular PLA. Lower print speeds are recommended to minimize pulling and improve surface smoothness.
2. Use proper substrate adhesion: PLA Metal may be more prone to warping in some cases, so make sure that the print bed is clean and that proper adhesion measures are used (PEI sheet or glue, etc,).
3. Do not print too large overhangs: PLA Metal has a higher fluidity at high temperatures, so when printing overhangs, the material does not easily hold its shape in the air.

- What is PLA Rapido Metal Filament? - PLA Rapido Metal Filament is a special kind of material used in 3D printing. It looks like metal and gives your printed objects a shiny and stylish surface. Even though it doesn’t have actual metal in it, it creates a beautiful and high-quality finish.
- Is it easy to use for beginners? - Yes! PLA Rapido Metal Filament is designed to be beginner-friendly. It is easy to print with, which means even if you are new to 3D printing, you can use it successfully with your printer.
- What are the best printing settings for this filament? - For best results, set your printer's nozzle temperature between 190 to 220 degrees Celsius. Use a heated bed set to around 60 degrees Celsius to help the filament stick to the print surface and avoid warping.
- What should I use for the print surface? - It's recommended to use a QIDI PEI plate or a smooth plate when printing with PLA Rapido Metal. Additionally, applying a glue stick can help the prints stick better to the surface.
- Can this filament warp during printing? - Yes, PLA Rapido Metal can warp if not printed with proper settings. To reduce warping, make sure your print bed is clean and warm, and consider using adhesive methods like a glue stick.
- Can I create big things with this filament? - While you can print larger objects, be mindful of overhangs. This filament can be a little more fluid at high temperatures, making it hard to keep shapes in the air when printing large overhangs.
- What color options are available? - PLA Rapido Metal Filament comes in several beautiful colors including Coffee Gold, Silver, Midnight Green, and Blue. You can choose one that best fits your project!
- How should I store the filament? - To keep your PLA Rapido Metal Filament in good shape, store it in a sealed container with a desiccant to keep it dry. Make sure the humidity inside is very low, ideally below 15%.
- What do I need to watch out for while printing? - Be careful if you are printing with this filament for the first time. Keep the print speed slower to improve quality, and make sure your printer settings are right to avoid any printing issues.
- Where can I buy PLA Rapido Metal Filament? - You can purchase PLA Rapido Metal Filament directly from our Online Store. It’s usually available, and shipping is available from various locations.
